Works 17/ 2016-2020: For this group of works, the output of the previous group of works is used as input and further processed. Starting from a camera-less process of creating digital graphic 2D interventions in Photoshop, I created optical illusions and 'quasi-photographic' images. In group of works 17/ I materialise these optical illusions by imagining, designing and transforming them into 3D printed objects. These now physically existing objects are photographed in a photo studio. What I find particularly interesting with regard to the medium of photography: The (documentary) photos prove the existence of something that exists (as 3D printed material) and somehow does not exist, as a product of optical illusion and human imagination.
